Backdraft BBQ is out of Zebulon NC. My name is Garrett Strickland 26 years old and I am the Chief Pitmaster of Backdraft BBQ. I developed an interest in cooking when I was very young and that interest has developed into something much more. I started competing in competitions 4 years ago. I enjoy cooking and competing in competitions in my free time. Backdraft BBQ’s name came from Pitmaster Garrett being a full time firefighter having a passion for both helping others and cooking great food.
